Summer Collection x Freeset
A season centred around gathering together to share words, laughs, time and food. We have curated a collection of goods to enhance and aid your hospitality this entertaining season. It's that time of the year where the sun shines late into the evening, and we gain a few extra hours to spend together basking in community. As we focus around the idea of strengthening our community through gathering, this season we have chosen to work with the organisation Freeset. 5% of all sales from our summer collection 'Gathering' will be donated to Freeset, funding their work in freeing woman from sex work, giving them a platform to become the woman they were created to be.
Freeset is an organisation started by Kiwi's Kerri and Annie Hilton, began in Sonagachi, one of Asia’s largest red-light areas with ~10,000 sex workers, many of whom were taken from homes in villages and communities across West Bengal. Starting from the belief that every person needs to a community to belong to. The women at Freeset hoped for something better and through jobs at Freeset making bags and tees, this hope is becoming a reality. Freeset work to build new homes and a new community of freedom in Kolkata, allowing woman to rewrite a better future for themselves and helping communities ensure their daughters are never trafficked away.
We have paired with local graphic designer Marilyn and Freeset to create a tote bag, as part of this collection. Ideal as a beach bag, shopping or hand bag this summer as you attend your gatherings.
